Raise Your Voice - Type Led Activism

This brief was for the D&AD New Blood Awards - I decided on the Google/Hoffmitz Milken Centre for Typography brief – this is the one I am most excited about. It was a Type Led project - using Type and Typography to give power to a campaign.
I wanted to do something that would appeal to young voters who are told time and time again that their voice isn't important. I wanted to show them what change they can make and that their vote to their right and they should use it.
They have power and should wield that power.

I had to provide at least 3 posters, 1 digital outcome and a non-traditional touch point.
For the three posters I used Adobe Illustrator to manipulate the font I decide to use and add the textures, moving into InDesign to create the most effective layout.
My digital outcome was a short video made in Photoshop to give am idea of what the current state of the country is after 12 years of Tory Government. This will play on YouTube and Instagram which are the two most popular social media platforms for my target market.
For my non-traditional touch point I decided to do a guerrilla marketing campaign. This would run along side a Turn Up campaign run by The British Youth Council and The National Union of Students. Students will be given stamps and stickers to place over the top of political party campaign materials.
